Calling all chocolate lovers! Today we're making brownies, the recipe for a classic that so many of us love. Don't miss it! You can make a thousand combinations with it or use it as a base for another cake. You never say no to a good brownie, or rather, nobody ever says no to a good brownie.

Ingredients

  • 300 g semisweet chocolate
  • 180 g butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 400 g sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 250 g all-purpose flour (000)

Metric measurements: a kitchen scale gives the best results.

Method

  1. Let's start with the brownies, the recipe for this classic we all love. First, preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Next, melt the chocolate with the butter in a bowl over a bain-marie, then let it cool to room temperature. You can also do this in the microwave: put the chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, taking it out and stirring a little each time, until completely melted.

  3. While the chocolate cools, beat the eggs with the sugar, salt and vanilla on low speed, to avoid incorporating too much air. It's important to know that brownies shouldn't be fluffy but moist.

  4. When the chocolate mixture is lukewarm, add it to the beaten eggs and finally add the flour. Mix until you get a smooth batter.

  5. The last step is to pour the batter into a baking pan lined with buttered parchment paper and bake for 15 to 18 minutes. Don't bake it any longer, since the brownie should stay moist.

  6. Once baked, let the pan cool and cut into the size you like. Keep the cut portions wrapped so they don't dry out.

  7. If you like, serve it with a scoop of ice cream, cream or dulce de leche, and enjoy!
