Today I'm sharing this crinkle cookie recipe, delicious cookies that are very easy to make. Since they're so easy, you can make a few extra, and the leftover dough keeps for up to three months in the freezer. So now you know: make some and save them for when you feel like something sweet.
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 65 g all-purpose flour (0000)
- 30 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 90 g sugar
- 30 ml oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar ("Dos Anclas" brand)
Metric measurements: a kitchen scale gives the best results.
Method
To start this crinkle cookie recipe, sift the flour, baking powder and cocoa into a bowl.
The next step is to add the oil, the vanilla extract and the egg to the dry ingredients. Mix to form a soft dough. Now wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the freezer for about 40 minutes, or make it and leave it in the fridge overnight to bake the next day.
Before taking the cookies out, preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Once the chilling time has passed, take the dough out of the fridge or freezer and cut it into twelve portions. Form small balls and roll them in plenty of powdered sugar. This is what makes them crisp and creates that fun pattern.
After rolling them in powdered sugar, place them on a baking sheet with a little cooking spray or oil so the cookies don't stick. It's also important to leave at least 2 cm between the cookies.
Bake the cookies for 15 minutes.
Enjoy!
